概要
オル・ドイーニョ・レンガイ（マサイ語マーア語で「神の山」）は、アフリカで最も並外れた過酷な登山の 1 つです。大地溝帯のナトロン湖の岸から急峻にそびえ立つこの火山は、世界で唯一の活火山であるナトロカーボナタイトで、独特の黒い溶岩が噴出し、空気や湿気に触れると白く変化します。
登山は常に夜間に行われます。斜面は非常に急で（最大 65 度）、地形は非常に緩くて荒れやすいため、暑い日中に登るのは本当に危険です。真夜中から午前 1 時までにヘッドランプを灯しながらキャンプを出発し、足元で崩れ落ちるゆるやかな火山灰と固まった溶岩の尾根をたどって、山の容赦ない山腹をまっすぐに登ります。
頂上では、活動的な火口から黒いカーボナタイト溶岩が蒸気を上げ、暗闇の中で静かに流れています。日の出とともに視界が開け、世界で最もアルカリ性の湖の一つであるナトロン湖が現れ、数百万羽のコフラミンゴが生息するピンク色で、東アフリカ地溝帯の生々しい古代の地質に囲まれています。

Drive from Arusha through the Rift Valley to Lake Natron. Arrive at the tented camp on the lakeshore, rest through the afternoon heat, take a short walk to see the flamingo colonies, and receive your summit briefing. Early dinner and sleep by 20:00.

Midnight Summit Push → Descent
Wake at midnight for the 4-6 hour ascent straight up the 65° slope by headlamp. Watch the sunrise over the Rift Valley and Lake Natron, then begin the long descent back to camp. Rest and relax at the camp.
